Its deep pocket and soft hinge allows the catcher to receive and hold any pitch, but allows a quick transfer to the throwing hand to make a play at second base. Like all Shoeless Joe® gloves, they are made with 100% tobacco tanned steerhide, and all are hand laced and require very little break in time.
